• Facilitating new product development initiative with key focus on Quality, Cost & Delivery; developing components in conformance to pre-set technical specifications.• Responsible for product conceptualization and new product development after requirement analysis, finalizing specifications, designing, prototype development and testing activities.• Executing innovative research activities. Leading a lab-team within the research group focused on the design & creation of innovative design.• Working with multi-disciplinary R&D team, maneuvering around challenges in technology innovation, while maintaining strong focus on commercial implications.• Eliminating redundant/ obsolete processes involved in the R&D, development processes and working towards value-addition.• Conceptualizing and implementing innovative mechanisms as well as reverse engineering for product R&D & development.• Interfacing with R&D for necessary modifications in component design for manufacturability of components for use in the automobile goods. Facilitating new product development initiatives with key focus on QCD (Quality, Cost & Delivery).• Coordinating with engineering dept. for understanding their technical requirements and facilitating the internal depts. for developing technical blueprints.• Coordinating the entire product development including requirement analysis, finalizing specifications, Process designing, prototype development.• Spearheading productivity improvement activities required for producing components while controlling the cost and maintaining world class quality.• Mapping of all the internal and outsource research; technology development modules; Reviewing prior art, patentability and novelty searches and infringement analysis.
