Gavin Davies

My 27 years in the mortgage business at Bank of Ireland has given me a broad range of business capabilities. My most recent role was as a Change Delivery Manager, responsible for leading the Change agenda on behalf of the Mortgage Collections Department. I was accountable for ensuring that the department adapted quickly in order to meet the Group priorities to Transform the Bank, Serving Customers Brilliantly and Growing Sustainable Profits. I had an extensive understanding of UK and European regulatory requirements (prudential and conduct) and delivered initiatives and improvements that enabled the business to achieve its agreed customer and commercial objectives. Prior to that I was a Project Manager for 10 years, accountable for ensuring the successful delivery of projects to time, quality & budget. This included successfully delivering regulatory, policy & system changes to support the Mortgage Credit Directive I have a 'passion for progress' which I put down to wanting to do the right thing for the customer. My career has also given me the opportunity to work in environments where the focus has been on the customer. This has given me great insight into the way that changes are received at customer and colleague level and this insight is being used to deliver improved outcomes for the company.
