Has lead the Acute Medicine Unit in Wirral to a top 4 SAMBA16 position and to be one of the largest in the United Kingdom with 10 Consultant Physicians in Acute Medicine, and the most cohesive AMU team truly dedicated to excellent patient care. Previous Clinical Services Lead in Acute Medicine and Clinical Director for Acute Care including the Emergency Department, Acute Medicine Unit, and Critical Care Unit. Previous Training Programme Director and Regional Speciality Advisor in Acute Medicine and member of the national Specialist Advisory Committee. Longstanding member of the IMPACT Curriculum Development Group and IMPACT Course Director. Professional interests in quality, safety, and sustainability in Acute Medicine and Ambulatory Care, and "pushing boundaries, challenging norms"! Relaxes with a good stroll along the beach near home with the dogs, cooking a fine meal, or travel across the amazing world we live in.
