Gayle Osterberg

A 25-year veteran communications officer in Washington, DC, Gayle is currently Chief of Staff, Global Government Relations and Public Affairs with the Corporate Responsibility team at JPMorgan Chase. Prior to joining the JPMC team, she was Director of Communications at the Library of Congress, where she led a team managing earned, digital and paid media at the world’s largest library. There she served as a member of the Library’s directors team, as executive editor for the Library’s publications and as project manager and liaison to third party groups. She was a founding partner of 133 Public Affairs, a communications and public relations firm specializing in content industry and health care issues. For five years she led the firm's work with trade association and non-profit clients including the National Music Publishers' Association, the Motion Picture Association of America, and the Copyright Alliance, a coalition she helped establish that comprises major companies, unions and trade associations representing the spectrum of copyright industries. Prior to founding 133, she served for two years as Vice President for Corporate Communications for the Motion Picture Association of America. She previously served for 12 years in the United States Senate, serving as a communications officer and spokesperson for former Assistant Republic Leader Don Nickles of Oklahoma and Judd Gregg of New Hampshire, working with national broadcast and print media on a daily basis. She served as communications director for two influential Senate committees - the Senate Budget Committee and the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, where she served as managing editor of the national award-winning student newspaper the University Daily Kansan, and earned a bachelor's degree in journalism.
