Gemma Gonzalez Martinez

I am a qualified teacher (holding QTS), I have excellent English and am a native Spanish speaker with the equivalent of a BA (hons) Degree in History of Art, a PGCE, as well as a CAE Certificate in English. I would be interested in teaching Spanish, History, Geography or History of Art. I would also be happy to take on a mixed role. I am currently working at The Littlehampton Academy as a History and Spanish teacher. This mixed role has given me the opportunity to further my teaching career and to grow as a teacher. My former job was as a Supply Teacher in different secondary schools, in which I gained a wide experience and behaviour management skills. Moreover I worked in Pennthorpe School as a Voluntary Support Teacher to gain teaching experience in England and to become familiar with the English National Curriculum. I would now like to further my career in Spain, working within a stimulating and challenging environment that would enable me to use skills that have been highly developed throughout my current and previous occupations and provide opportunities for self-development. I am an efficient and highly motivated individual with a natural responsible and caring attitude. Possessing confidence and enthusiasm as well as having excellent communication and management skills. With a proven ability to encourage children to achieve their potential by stimulating their enthusiasm for learning and also their determination to succeed. For me, the rewards and challenges of teaching offer a sense of satisfaction that is enhanced by the personal development of the children I teach. I believe in creating a supportive classroom environment and using positive reinforcement strategies. I am a good team-worker, enjoying working closely with colleagues to share ideas and specialist knowledge. I have real enthusiasm to learn and grow as a teacher. I would be delighted to have the opportunity to make a worthwhile and valuable contribution to a school.
