Looking back over my career shows a road less traveled. One filled with an education in experiences. I started off at a private Christian school and took a brief stop at Rhema Bible College where character and strong morals were strengthened and built into my foundation. Then kicking into high gear in the United States Marine Corps. Where honor, courage and commitment, the Corps values, were instilled in me. The Marines taught me invaluable skills like leadership, organization, determination, and how to hit a man sized target at 500 yards with iron sights on an M-16A2 Service Rifle to name a few. Although I spent a year working as a Security Control Officer while attending college, this was not how I wanted to spend my life. Some of the best advice I ever heard was “If you want to learn something, pick up a book and read!” This has helped me a great deal over the past few years. After getting an entry level job in Customer Service at WatchGuard Technologies, I chose to learn the technical side of the business and taught myself outside of work network security, troubleshooting, and team lead skills. Using the determination, commitment and strong character I had built over the years., After securing a position as a Technical Support Representative, I was able to begin teaching support skills to others and quickly moved to a Team Lead position where my leadership and service skills helped my 17 person team to meet and exceed our quarterly and annual goals. I have been able to continue to build my career in excellence providing fantastic customer support and amazing technical understanding and ability. My teams have maintained excellent support for our customers and have been able to retain and gain clients for the companies I have worked for. I pride myself on joining any team as a leader, building up those around me for mutually shared success!
