George Carvalho

I'm a biomedical scientist working in the areas of genomics and bioinformatics of high-throughput data analysis. I work in the bioinformatics group at G42 Healthcare and with colleagues from Biogenix and Omics center, mainly developing high-performance pipelines for the human genome program and projects related to SARS-CoV-2. I also worked with Genomika, Albert Einstein Israeli Hospital, and Varstation colleagues to improve bioinformatics pipelines applied to DNA sequencing data, from software benchmarking and implementation to interpreting genomic data. Moreover, I've done academic research bringing bioinformatics and machine learning methods together using open datasets. In particular, I'm an enthusiastic learner of statistics, data science, machine learning, and how it can be applied to health sciences.
