Responsible for air quality compliance. Write environmental bulletins and procedures. Responsible for obtaining environmental permits for new equipment, machinery, and operations at Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman facilities. Maintain and track over 200 environmental operating permits in three counties, four geographic regions and three air quality management districts. Perform internal environmental compliance inspections and audits. Escort federal, state, and local regulatory agencies on inspections of Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman properties to ensure compliance with regulatory laws. Respond to notice of correction and/or violations and implement corrective action. Evaluate, interpret and apply federal, state, and local environmental regulations to Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman operations. Provide environmental training to company personnel. In the area of air quality, responsibilities include preparing reports such as: Aerospace NESHAP, RICE NESHAP, Title V FOP Certifications, Annual Emissions Report; AB 2588 "Toxics Hot Spots" Report; SARA; Compliance Certification; AB32 GHG; and Prop. 65. Evaluate chemicals for compliance with air quality regulations such as VOC-content, vapor pressure, etc. In the area of hazardous materials/waste: developed, implemented, and maintain a computerized hazardous materials usage record-keeping data-base system. Ensure compliance in the area of proper disposal and/or storage of hazardous and non-hazardous materials/waste.
