George Lombard

George Lombard was a registered migration agent for some 25 years following a career as an Australian government lawyer and as a legal officer with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. Since March 2021 he has practised as a lawyer holding an unrestricted practising certificate. His current professional interests are the application of health and character issues to Australian migration applications. His philosophical position is that global movement of labour should be no more difficult than the movement of capital or goods - while recognising the need for proper management and safeguards, migration systems should be facilitative and protective in equal measure.
