George Messina

George is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of NorthStar Medical Radioisotopes, LLC, and founder of NorthStar Medical Technologies, which holds several leading technology subsidiaries including NorthStar Medical Radioisotopes. With 30 years of executive experience in the medical industry in roles of CEO or COO, George brings a proven leadership skill set to NorthStar. His expertise encompasses acquisition and development of core technologies, forging relationships with universities and national labs and creation of international joint ventures for the manufacturing and distribution of medical equipment. George has raised more than $200 million in financings to support companies he has acquired and/or technologies he has licensed/acquired. In addition, George has secured $50 million in financial grants from the U.S. Department of Energy in support of NorthStar’s Mo99 program. Businesses under George’s leadership have provided annual compounded investor returns of more than 40 percent. Additionally, George has worked closely with the U.S. Department of Defense, obtaining a Top Secret Clearance from the US Government in support of projects such as the Fire Control, Radar and Missile Systems on-board U.S. destroyers, the Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) Program, the Delta rocket and the Viking Lander Programs. George received his BS degree in Electrical Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology.
