George Thornton

My name is George Thornton. I am currently 23 years old. I work as an Infrastructure Technician at RedCompass Labs. Now for a quick history: For high school, I went to Twyford CofE High School. To start with my earliest qualifications, I have achieved grades B or above in 11 GCSEs, including Maths, Science and English. From sixth form, I have grades in 4 AS Levels. I also have 3 A2 Level grades (AAB) in Maths, Physics and Computing, which I received on the 18th August 2016, which is also when I finished school. I have held one part-time job before as a Maths Tutor at 'Number Works 'n Words'. I thoroughly enjoyed this as I tutored Maths to children, aged 5 to 16. I love working with kids and learning and tutoring Logical subjects e.g. Maths. I was at university at Kings College London for a brief time, for 2 years from 2016 to 2018. After that, and after taking some time out to search myself and do job-searching, I began working at RedCompass ltd in June 2019, first in an internship, which I did for 3 months to August 2019. More recently, I did an Apprenticeship: Infrastructure Technician (Level 3), with Apprenticeship provider QA Apprenticeships, but still working at RedCompass on the job-side. I completed my Apprenticeship in July this year (2021), in which I passed it with a 'Pass' grade. My hobbies include cycling, football, video games, reading, drumming, drawing, programming and website design. My favorite programming language is Java. My main interests are in Computer Science, IT, History and popular culture.
