Miguel Angel Solaegui

EHS Manager profesional with Experience in some different companies developing EHS activities; starting from basic roles as a supervisor and going on to managing positions; each one with different opportunities to be improved, different levels of safety culture and many business challenges. I started to work as an Apprentice in an EHS Consultancy and I finished there as a Project Manager. After that, I started to work inside the industry as an EHS Supervisor. At that time, I had to move my residence to another city. A specific step in my career occurred when I occupied the EHS Regulatory Affairs position in a chemical – pharmaceutical company. The next position as EHS & Sustainable Coordinator in a chemical company give me the opportunity to develop Industrial Hygiene and Environmental specialization. In those years, I studied a Master Degree in Environmental Engineering. An important next step was becoming an EHS Manager in a pharmaceutical company where I started to develop soft skills and improve my technical skills. My professional career followed as an EHS Responsible of two sites in a chemical – pharmaceutical company where I developed and certified the EHS Management system to both sites from basics. My movement to GSK Pharmaceutical Company as EHS Manager was the way to consolidate technical and soft skills in a big company, developing programs and improving the EHS Management system.
