Charismatic and dependable Middle School Social Studies Teacher with over five years of experience delivering educational assistance and instruction to various levels of learners. Committed to providing students with necessary tools to achieve academic goals, instilling love of learning and cooperative teamwork. Dedicated, innovative, passionate, and creative are adjectives I would use to describe myself as an Educator; proud to stand in front of a classroom full of children and not only grow their love of History but for education as a whole. I pride myself on being resourceful and hands-on, creating a positive learning environment fostered by diversity and inclusion. I am not only a leader in the classroom but have also taken on leadership roles in an educational and professional capacity such as holding office as the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Zeta Epsilon Chapter President. At Coppin State University I held the title as the President of the History Club and Vice-President of the Student Volunteer Corps. My love for helping others is what encouraged me to pursue one of the greatest, most fulfilling careers in the world, a Teacher. Today, outside of growing brains in the classroom, I work with young African-American women as the Project Manager for Black Girls Global Exchange and I am the Owner/CEO of Coach G Academy Youth Empowerment Program through Arts and Education, a Youth Empowerment Non-profit Organization that works to empower youth through arts and education. As a Step Coach who lives to inspire, I feel that art is a beautiful reflection of who we are as people and can also translate into a powerful educational tool. I currently attend John Hopkins University where I am pursuing a M.S. In Education and my teaching certificate for the state of Maryland. I am proud to earn a degree from one of the nation’s top Universities where the School of Education was ranked number 7 in the U.S. In 2019. Taking a part in a curriculum that includes course work in Educational Technology, Gifted Education, School Administration & Supervision, and Educational Studies will open many opportunities for me in the future as I continue to mature in such an enriching career field. This work is hard; but, that’s why we need more Educators who care about our children’s future.
