I’m a hybrid production artist and graphic designer using both skills on a daily basis. My Goals: - To move jobs through as thoroughly as I can with minimal error so that it keeps with aggressive timelines. And supporting each team member along the way. My Strengths: - Line extension of consumer goods packaging with attention to detail and copy accuracy. - Design implementation & extension of packaging systems. - Create clean, complex mechanicals for separations. - Refined sense of typography ~ letter spacing and proportion. Favorite typeface: Optima, Venus and Whitney - Experienced in working in-house and agency environments - Easy to work with In January 2012, I joined the in-house creative team at the Clorox Company responsible for producing packaging mechanicals for multiple brands. Over the course of ten years, I became the main production designer for the company’s flagship laundry bleach brand upholding brand continuity and consistency in every aspects of its print packaging as well as e-commerce. Prior to Clorox, I spent 20 years freelancing at design agencies big and small. Projects consist mostly of print packaging for marketing. Freelancing at many design studios trained me to adapt quickly to different processes and environments ~ delivering clean and error-free mechanicals while staying focused and organized under pressure. Often times, I was hired back because of my familiarity of their process and being able to deliver clean files in a short amount of time. Freelancing also allowed me to meet many talented production artists, designers, art directors and project managers; the design community became much larger for me. In the beginning as a graphic designer creating conceptual designs of consumer goods packaging, I learned the importance of a solid production base to make designs a reality for print. My passion for typography, design and color carries through in the production process to keep its design integrity. For my creative balance, I enjoy documenting my travels through photography. Being able to experience cultures different from mine always recharges me with a fresh perspective. I also love to bake cakes that contribute to celebrating life!
