Giammaria Gentile

Giammaria, with over 20 years of broad experience, brings a unique perspective to the engineering and design fields gained on complex road, bridge, rail, infrastructure and building projects undertaken in Australia, Europe, Africa and Middle East. In the past thirteen years, he has concentrated on managing the engineering aspects of major infrastructures projects. His thorough understanding of contractual and project control requirements, design / construction and maintenance methodologies, coupled with exposure to diverse projects and challenges, ensures Giammaria has the confidence and ability to seek alternative solutions in the delivery of high quality, value for money projects. Former Director of Rizzani de Eccher Australia and Project Leader for Bridges and Structures on the Woolgoolga to Ballina Project, Giammaria is currently the Engineering Manager for Eastern Construction at Fulton Hogan, leading the Design, Planning/Staging, and Digital Engineering teams. Giammaria is a member of Eastern Region Construction Senior Leadership Team and he is involved in the management of tender and design processes, cost and program reviews, risk assessments, development of temporary works and construction methodologies as well as cost-saving initiatives and innovative engineering. On award of contracts, he provides ongoing technical and constructability advice to the delivery teams working on developing and implementing cost-effective design and least disruptive construction methodologies. Responsibilities: • Participate in the Senior Leadership Team meetings and contribute to discussions relating to operational issues and business strategy and direction • Identify and introduce new technology and innovations to assist the business in improving its efficiency and effectiveness in all areas of project development, design and delivery • Manage risks/ opportunities and how they impact on the business • Participate in tender reviews and project reviews • Assist in the preparation of EOIs and Tenders • Provide expert design advice and assistance for both temporary and permanent design issues on projects Giammaria is also a Board Member of the Civil College of Engineers Australia where he brings his passion about engineering with the aim at maximising projects outcome for the community, the asset owners and the taxpayers.
