Gillian Wannan

I graduated the University of Strathclyde with a Joint Honours degree in Immunology and Pharmacology and a subsequently received grants and scholarships from the University of Strathclyde, The Royal Society and the Scottish International Education Trust to obtain my doctorate degree in Immunology / Stress and Exercise Physiology. I was a university lecturer and research scientist before moving into the commercial sector where I pursued a career in health consultancy, pathology and corporate health including, health screening, clinical trials research, stress management and near patient OTC testing retail services. I work freelance as a consultant and have developed new technologies including novel assays, software, medical and wearable devices. As CEO of two Harley Street companies and clinics I have over 25 years of experience in providing patient focused corporate health services, corporate health strategy consultancy, executive coaching, training and management services dealing with public and private sector clients ranging from small businesses to large multi-national blue chips and government. I have, in addition, over 20 years of experience of counselling patients /clients across a wide range of health, psychological and business subject areas. In my free-time I pursue a long-standing personal interest in fitness. I competed at Senior international level in volleyball for over 10 years and still maintain a regular exercise program.
