A determined and detail-oriented Pattern Cutting Graduate with a real passion for developing, constructing and finishing garments. I have developed a wide range of professional, practical skills based on a combination of project and studio work. My Degree modules included fashion drawing, design innovation, pattern cutting and market awareness as well as understanding the latest technology in garment manufacture. I am seeking a role which will enable me to quickly add value to a business whilst also further developing my skills. SUMMARY OF CORE SKILLS - Keen eye for detail and product design with good understanding of the design process. - Experienced in Womenswear, Menswear, Businesswear, Swimwear and Jersey-wear. - Works closely with Designers to accurately interpret and reproduce visual concepts. - Skilled in both manual and digitised grading and pattern-cutting. - Strong technical skills in terms of toiling, fabrication, print and garment construction. - Creates detailed specifications and costings, including accommodating tight budgets. - Commercially minded, being aware of cost implications and the need for efficiency in fabric use. - Undertakes primary and secondary research into design development and identifying new trends. - Remains calm and composed when working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. - Works quickly but methodically, with a highly-organised approach to achieving key objectives. - PC skills include Microsoft Office and Gerber and Lectra. - Communicates well with other team members.
