Gina R. Guzzardo

I have been employed by the Louisiana Legislative Auditor since 2005, having returned to the workforce after 16+ years as a full time parent, being active in our daughter’s school and assisting our parents with their physical needs. During that time I worked to maintain my computer skills by building computers and installing software with my husband, doing freelance computer work and teaching senior citizens computer basics. After so much time away, I knew that I would have to prove my abilities as a productive member of the workforce and an asset to a future employer in order to have a successful career in the second half of my life. My original position with the LLA was as a backup Receptionist. Within months I moved into my current position as Engagement Administrative Specialist in the Local Government Services section of our organization. I now hold the position of LGR Administrative Assistant/Engagement and Enforcement. As I have demonstrated my abilities and determination to learn and do more, my responsibilities increased exponentially. I am truly grateful for the opportunities they have given me.
