Glenn Weinberg

Glenn Weinberg manages JouleCommunity Power, a Joule Assets business unit that partners with municipalities to develop innovative energy procurement models while advancing energy reduction, energy management, and clean energy goals amidst an evolving regulatory environment. He is responsible for spearheading comprehensive Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) programs across New York State and beyond. Glenn has also been instrumental in designing, implementing, and scaling New York State's first CCA program in Westchester County, working with non-profit Sustainable Westchester on contract development, supplier relations, the procurement process, and community outreach. Before joining Joule, Glenn taught environmental sociology and urban sustainability at Brooklyn College and Queens College. He holds a B.A. from the University of Michigan and is working towards completion of doctoral research on decentralized electricity policy and smart grid industry development at the City University of New York.
