He has occupied senior posts, to board level, with major contractors for many years and in the role of consultant has been appointed as expert witness under adjudication, arbitration and litigation proceedings in relation to quantum issues on a variety of projects from nuclear power stations, major motorway construction and bridges to factory / warehouse complexes in addition to the management, care and conduct of referrals to adjudication and arbitration.His skills and experience have allowed him to provide his companies and clients with a bridge between the practicalities and problems of the industry and the resolution of issues between contracting parties either by the preparation and commercial negotiation and settlement of disputes or the more formal forums of adjudication, arbitration or litigation.His expertise has been developed principally in the areas of Building/Civil Engineering Construction, Power Plant Construction, Gas Pipeline Construction and Transport Manufacture, with emphasis on quantum, contractual and commercial issues which have also been applied to the Due Diligence aspects of Mergers and Acquisitions in the South African mining industry.
