About
Hi - I'm Graham. I graduated from Edinburgh University in 2006 with a BEng Hons in Mechanical Engineering. Straight after university I worked for BJ Process and Pipeline Services were I gain vast amounts of offshore experience in both their core services (e.g. Purging, nitrogen test etc.) and none core services (e.g. Mobile flaring, gas recompression and chemical cleaning). After this period I moved on to be a self employed contractor working for sub contractors in the UK. Managing teams up to 30 personnel on brownfield projects up and down the country. I have also worked in the Middle East and Africa. This experience has developed me as a person learning to work with people from difference cultures and finding the best way to motivate and teach as well as learn from multinational colleagues. I then worked on a number of BP projects where I was the Mechanical Commissioning Engineer on brown field projects. Applying my skills I had gained from my years as a sub contractor on many different sites. My role was to create limit of system handovers and create a commissioning plan logic which would work right to left and develop the construction plan. Decides on sub contractor requirements manage them along with vendor support. I also attended Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT's) and witnessed them on behalf of BP.After my last project I chose to return to university and gain my Masters and progress my career both personally and professionally. To achieve Chartered status and also continue on my career goal to become more technical and responsible.
