About
I’m an ops guy, always have been. I love being in operations because that’s where you get to work with all the people; frontline staff, suppliers, senior leaders – oh and customers, mustn’t forget the customers! Over the years I have developed an extensive skill-set, I’m a generalist and proud of it, though I am particularly effective when it comes to process improvement and people management. I never actually set out to be an operations manager, I’m not sure many people actually do, but interestingly I’ve always found the best part of my job to be coaching and developing new and aspiring managers. I value growth and learning, and investing in my team’s professional development enables me to pursue new and interesting projects of my own. One thing I am particularly enthused about is developing my own new managers toolkit, which I hope to publish in the second half of the year.
