I have been involved in the printing industry since 1977 when I started a photo-lithography apprenticeship. During the past 36 years I have been involved in many changes throughout the industry, working for several prepress and printing companies including Wilson and Horton, Laser Graphics (McCollams). From the art of colour planning, working from an art board with instruction overlays on a light bench using a scalpel, masking material and film to finally produce press ready plates. I was on the tools for 20 years. By this time computers had taken over the trade. I then moved on to sales with Agfa for 6 years, business ownership (Straight to Plate Ltd) for 7 years, then back into sales with Aarque Group.
