I am a PRINCE2/PMI Technical Project and Programme Manager with a career in IT that spans over 20 years. I am highly experienced in core project management methodologies and a specialist in managing complex technical infrastructure projects whilst remaining conversant with and adhering to IT best practices and process frameworks. I come from a very strong technical background having started my IT career in desktop support advancing to server and network support, infrastructure design, development, architecture and eventually ending up in project and program management. You name it, I have probably done it. As a result of my encompassing technical experience, I am able to easily build the bridge between the business and the technical teams stripping away the jargon presenting and communicating in a common language leading to a more productive working environment reducing delivery time frames. My experience covers end-to-end project management having worked on large and complex infrastructure projects, global technical roll-outs and data centre migration. My areas of strength include project management, architecture, global operations and vendor management not to mention leading teams, keeping them motivated and supported. Typical project management skills practised daily include: ► Defining, documenting and executing medium and large-scale projects, actively participating in all phases of the project, identifying, assessing and managing risks. ► Estimating costs, time scales and resource requirements and monitoring these factors throughout the project. ► Preparing and maintaining project and quality plans and tracking activities against the plan. ► Managing the change control procedure gaining agreement for revisions to the project from project stakeholders. ► Providing effective leadership to the project team.
