Greg Hanson

I am a Software Engineer with 30+ years of experience with a variety of programming languages, and methodologies. I am fluent in ruby, with strong debugging, root cause, and multi-tasking skills. In my last position, I designed and maintained test automation systems that are used for release testing, unattended endurance testing, and recording results to a SOAP web application (Spira). My programming skills have evolved over time from an assembler programmer at Unisys, to embedded development using C, C++, and ruby at Multi-Tech, and test automation using a self-developed ruby library, also at Multi-Tech. When I started my position in Product Test, we had a paper check list Test Reporting, and very little test automation. Today, we have 35-45% automated tests. Most of these tests can be run unattended for an extended period as endurance tests. My time in the Cloud development group was spent using a Jenkins build server to periodically run tests, as well expanding my test library to exercise API and Web UI for two Cloud applications.
