Greg Nelson

Gregory G. Nelson was the President of Nelson JIT LLC. Previously he was President/CEO of Nelson J.I.T. Packaging Supplies, Inc. Nelson J.I.T. Packaging Supplies, Inc. Was founded in May of 1994 by Greg and his family The company is based in Phoenix AZ with additional branches in SLC,UT and Denver,CO. Greg sold the company in December, 2013. With more than 35 years of experience in the packaging and distribution industry, he has designed and manufactured packaging solutions for military, retail and industrial applications. In addition to packaging and packaging design, Greg also has vast product, equipment and application knowledge in jan/san, adhesives, abrasives, static control and automation products. His experiences also include sales, purchasing, logistics, distribution, management, operations, technician, new system/procedure design and integration, sight negotiation/start-up, strategic planning and more. Clients that Greg has partnered with throughout his career are companies like The UPS Store, Goodrich/UTC, Conair, General Dynamics, The Home Depot, Procter & Gamble, Kimberly Clark, National Machine, Parker Hannifin, Hunter Douglas, National Aviation, Raytheon and W.L. Gore. Greg unknowingly began his career in the packaging/distribution industry at the age of 11. His father was the V.P. Of Galaxy Packaging Greg was cheap summertime labor in the foam fabrication shop. He continued to work in the industry for his parents business throughout high school and college. After college he worked for Noland Paper in program design, manufacturing process improvement and outside sales. Stepping outside of the industry for six years he worked in sales and finance for Nissan and Chrysler Corporation. Greg is a native of Phoenix, AZ and currently resides in Surprise, AZ. Greg is a 27 year member of the Glendale Active 20/30 #131. This charity works to help needy children around the valley. The 20/30 creed is “A man never stands so tall as when he kneels to help a child”.
