Started flying C-130 military aircraft around the world. Transitioned to T-38 Instructor duties with USAF Instrument Flight Center. Finished at the Air Force Academy as Air Officer Commanding. Trained with United Airlines on the DC-10. Flew with Braniff International in the US Conus and South America. Two tours in VietNam. Worked at several community colleges in Dallas area. Worked for several contractors at the FAA Technical Center. Hired by the FAA and worked until retirement. Nominated for Engineer of the Year, Outstanding Achievement Awards, and numerous FAA related courses. Worked as an officer in the Experimental Aircraft Association. In the Air Force, received Distinguished Flying Cross and handful of air medals as aircraft commander on 968 air combat sorties. I have a large skill set in various aspects of aviation. Worked with the Canadian Instrument Check Pilot School. Limited experience on the aircraft carrier Lexington. In the later part of my FAA career, I worked projects concentrated in Alaska at Anchorage and 17 remote sites. Lived overseas for several years. Large number of aviation and technical courses. For a short period I flew with the Tennessee Air National Guard.
