Greta Hoyt

I have left the corporate world to pursue new challenges of being a mom first and partnering with clients to enhance their landscapes in a environmentally and sustainable manner. I am also looking for opportunities to educate children and adults on horticultural techniques, plant and soil science. Past Experience / Horticultural Background: In college, I volunteered in the North Carolina State University greenhouses and worked along side Prof. Stuwart Warren doing research on fertilizers and a variety of soils. There I preformed pH and CEC tests on water samples as well as facilitating the completion of his study. After tiring of lab work, I completed an internship at Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia, SC in the horticulture department. There we worked to enhance the visitor experience by maintaining the animal habitats and surrounding gardens. Rounding out my junior year I interned at the Mendocino Coast Botanical Garden in Fort Bragg, CA. By venturing to the west coast I learned about organic vegetable production and the basics of running a botanical garden. All of this experience has prepared me for my role as a Business Developer at JRGM where I bring my knowledge and love of plants to an experienced sales approach.
