I serve as the Chief Operating & Chief Risk Officer at MIO Partners, a multi-billion, multi-strategy alternative asset manager. As Chief Risk Officer, my goal is to make risk management a value-added and decision-oriented function informing and shaping the risk-return profile of our portfolio. I believe good risk management should enable a business to prudently take on more risks. As Chief Operating Officer, I oversee MIO’s managed account platform, treasury, work closely with our Board of Directors, and lead a variety of business development and strategic initiatives where problem solving and thought leadership is key. Prior to MIO, I was a consulting partner at McKinsey & Company and a key contributor to its North American Banking, Insurance and Risk Management practices. In both roles I had the privilege of strong mentorship and I consider myself a passionate people developer.
