Guy Moorhouse

I’m a freelance designer based just outside London in the UK. I work as a product and brand designer across interface design and front-end build, graphic design, 3D and bits and pieces of animation. I work with founders at small companies and early stage start-ups, designing and prototyping for new products. I’ve been in the industry for nearly twenty years and freelance for a decade of that. I've intentionally remained a generalist and an individual contributor as this is how I can be most effective at start-ups and early stage ventures where broad skills are most useful. I freelanced at Facebook for most of 2017 and before that I was a freelance senior designer helping design and build GOV.UK. As one of the first hires, I helped establish a graphic and interaction design language used by millions of users daily. Before going independent I cut my teeth at leading London design and animation studio, Airside. I either work embedded within a team as a freelance designer, helping establish and scale a digital product, or as a small one man studio branding, designing and building for a broad range of clients. I practice user-centred design and believe in design based on research and prototyping, to meet user needs. I love working on small, autonomous teams, building something new that brings some value to the world. I'm experienced working in agile, cross-functional teams to deliver new products. I also love collaborating with other disciplines – working with engineers, researchers and product management to help create world-class digital products and services.
