A senior level Urban Planner with over 44 years of expertise and experience as a Team Leader, Visiting Faculty, Expert Committee and Team Member and Examiner in various organisations/ departments, Universities in the field of Low Cost Housing, Urban Poverty, Urban Planning and Development, Policy making, Preparation of Regulations, Preparation of Regional and City Development Plans, Strategic Planning, recruitment of professionals etc. Has strong background in comprehensive planning, with a focus on economic urban regional growth, environmental planning particularly water and other resources planning, and Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with local regulatory bodies and forge strong working relationships and partnerships with other community stakeholders. Has deep understanding and application of Planning Codes and knowledge of urban and regional planning, with an emphasis on environmental planning regulations and resources. Strong research and analytical skills; ability to work effectively with service users, staff and other professionals in a high-intensity environment and use independent judgment to manage and impart information. Has presented over 62 papers in National and International Seminars, Conferences on topical subjects and also conducted more than 18 Capacity Building Programmes in the country and abroad. Also has visited over 16 countries for professional activities. Presently pursuing academic passion as a visiting faculty in School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi and also working as a Freelance Town and Country Planning Consultant.
