HISINM Ireland

Our mission is simple: to establish a national profile for nursing & midwifery informatics in Ireland. We welcome new members, both nationally and internationally – especially those who do not consider IT experts but who want to access a network of nurses & midwives who have an interest in informatics & the use of technology in clinical practice. HISI NM welcomes all clinically-focused practitioners, including students. Although HISI NM is nurse-led, the group is open to all clinicians. The HISI NM community will help you learn, acquire informatics skills, and share your experiences with other nurses & midwives working in the Irish healthcare domain. Nursing and midwifery needs to have a strong voice in how health and technology work together. At a national level HISI NM offer its members an opportunity to shape next generation computing and ensure that national and local IT programmes are fit for purpose and maximise patient safety.
