I will be transitioning in my new role as supply planner at Berlin Packaging over the new few weeks and months! I have been an account coordinator for Berlin Packaging for almost 3 years, working one-on-one with customers, sales, supply chain, and manufacturers to make sure customers get their orders on time and without issue. I was the trade production assistant at W.W. Norton & Company, where I ordered all reprints for the Norton Trade and Liveright imprints. In the year I was at Norton, I ordered more than 500 titles amounting to more than 2.8 million books. I communicated with outside vendors to ensure that our books are delivered on time and to maintain quality. I also provided pricing estimates, implemented interior corrections, and coordinated with other departments to organize drop shipments, all while keeping meticulous records. I am a former page editor with the Gannet Design Studio, where I worked on 12 daily newspapers in the USA TODAY Network, including the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and the Rochester (N.Y.) Democrat & Chronicle. I ensured AP and in-house style guides were met, while also shepherding 100+ pages a night out the door by deadline. While I was a student at Iowa State University, I was the copy chief for the Iowa State Daily, an award-winning, student-run newspaper in Ames, Iowa, where I managed other copy editors, served as a liaison between the newsroom and designers, and fact-checked and edited articles. I am a 2018 graduate of the Columbia Publishing Course, a six-week program designed to help new professionals enter the publishing industry. I graduated from Iowa State University in 2015 with degrees in linguistics and French.
