Hali Coleman

Hali J. Coleman is an IT Professional, DEI Advocate, and Leader with over 22 years of experience. Hali is a results-driven leader, providing influence and support to her global teams of Managers, Project Managers, and Engineers. Hali began leading teams in 2006, with most recent leadership position as Director over 40+ employees and consultants with strategic functions including Production Support, Performance and Capacity Engineering, Vendor Management, and Change Management. In this role, Hali is responsible for directing and managing a team of Managers, Technical Engineers, and Onshore and offshore technical engineering consultants, supporting Global Technology. The team Hali leads engages with business partners to mitigate application issues and develop application enhancements for multiple lines of business within MetLife using Agile methodologies. Hali previously held the role for managing, x86 Storage Devices Development within Lenovo. In this role, Hali was globally responsible for managing a team of project managers and engineers whom developed and deployed x86 storage device solutions to external customers. Prior to that role, Hali managed the OEM Project Management and Information Development within IBM’s System x organization. Hali was responsible for managing a team of Project managers, engineers and technical writers who interface with System x Development to deploy System x solutions to external customers. Hali received a Bachelor of Science degree from Morgan State University in Information Systems and Sciences. Hali was selected, by IBM’s executive team, to participate in the Academic Learning Assistance Program and completed her Master of Management from University of Phoenix in January 2010. Outside of working for MetLife, Hali is the mother of a lively and intelligent daughter and takes great pride in being a conscious and connected parent. Hali enjoys volunteering in the community. Hali’s volunteer work brings her great enjoyment, by demonstrating to those less fortunate that there are people in this world who care for them. To strengthen her connection to service and scholarship Hali was initiated as a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc in 2018. Hali is also a graduate of the Woman Unlimited TEAM (Training for Emerging and Aspiring Managers) Program. The Woman Unlimited TEAM is a six-month program that cultivates new and upcoming leaders. Hali holds a certification in SAFe 5 Product Owner/Product Manager: a leading Agile Framework. Hali is looking forward to the new experiences that are ahead of her.
