Entertaining, kind and enthusiastic. British born. Moved to the US in 2017 to set up BURST Oral Care - high-end oral products delivered to your door, recommended by trusted dental professionals. Fact: British people are infamous for not caring for teeth but Americans are and they love things delivered. So, I thought, why not strike out West? The principle behind the company was not only to make the best products on the market but also make them affordable for everyone. I’m a bit of a product nerd and I am proud to say that all our products are designed in-house. It gives us total control, so we can make them all amazing without anyone telling us what we can and can’t have. Ok, it’s a kinda big house - we have over 15,000 dental professionals wanting to help. And we listen to them. These professionals truly know their stuff, their depth of knowledge is vast, cavern-like; many have been cleaning teeth longer that I’ve been alive!I am proud to say that we just finished a clinical study with UCLA dental Scool and to show how great our brush is compared to big brand name toothbrushes. Very very proud of our results which will be released on March 1st. With everything I do I want to go big. Extreme challenges are my thing, even if my mum does sometimes call me ‘an occasional moron’ because of it. A few years back I rode unassisted across the Indian Ocean (she repeatedly called me one then). It took 73 days. To put it into perspective, one will row two hours then break for two, continually for the entire journey. That’s 876 hours on the oars. I have to say, although it was at times wondrous, next time I’ll probably pick a challenge that doesn’t give me as many hemorrhoids! So, it’s safe to say that that I’ll be remaining on land for the time being. Oral care suits me down to the ground. I love what I do and the people I work with. It’s been a wild ride and long may it continue...
