Hannah Abbott

I am a member of the Cybersecurity Department at Arizona Public Service. I am responsible for protecting customer, employee and company confidential information and vendor risk monitoring. Currently my focus is surrounding compliance with recent privacy legislation as well as protecting data stored and shared in a cloud environment. I also partner with our communications department to provide continuous training and security awareness to the entire organization, reaching approximately 8,500 employees and contractors. In addition to my current work, I serve as the co-chair to our IT Internship program. In this role, I provide structure and support to the interns for the IT and related departments. We provide opportunities to learn about current projects in various areas of the business and how they will benefit our customers. What I enjoy most about this role is helping to develop future talent and provide a platform to introduce our IT interns to our executives in a way that allows them to showcase their contributions to these projects and their overall impact to APS.
