Hannah Feldshuh

I am passionate about Chinese foreign affairs and international relations, as well as the interplay of gender and public policy. In my current work, I research shifting domestic perceptions of Chinese engagement abroad using Mandarin language materials. I have contributed writing to Eurobiz, the European Chamber of Commerce business magazine, Caixin, the Diplomat, and SupChina on subjects ranging from loan use in Belt and Road Initiative expansion to implementation of China’s Domestic Violence Law. In July 2018, I received my Master's degree in Chinese Studies from the Yenching Academy at Peking University, an international scholarship program designed to cultivate leaders who will advocate for global progress and cultural understanding. I speak fluent Mandarin Chinese and have completed several intensive Mandarin language scholarships, including the Foreign Language Area Studies fellowship, the Critical Language Scholarship, and the National Security Language Initiative for Youth.
