As a business leader, woman and mother, it’s of great importance to me that I inspire those around me to be the very best they can be in their personal and professional lives by leaning into challenging goals and seeking support wherever they can. Of course, I recognise that it’s impossible to be everything to everyone, but I also believe that the greatest leaders are those who fuse skills in mentoring, and counselling with the imperative tools of listening, appreciating and asking incisive questions. My goal is to be this person in leadership and in life, so to exercise these skills, I take the time to mentor those inside and outside of my own business. I’ve always strived to create environments where it is embraced and encouraged to be your whole self, and so I feel a responsibility to immerse myself into the world of ESG and DE&I, continually learning how businesses should act to positively impact people and the planet at large. Founding and leading Meet has been one of the biggest achievements and privileges I have encountered in my near 40 years. In 2009 I took a chance and launched my own Life Sciences recruitment business, together with Meet’s two other founders, we had one clear vision; to build a dynamic business dedicated to people and global health. We were, and continue to be, committed to creating opportunity for our teams and the world of Life Sciences, with the ever-evolving ambition to make Meet a market leader in talent. In the early days, we didn’t have an exact roadmap. Still, we went on to establish Meet in Europe, and in 2015 I relocated to New York to launch Meet stateside. A year after, we expanded to the West Coast, and in 2019 we opened our fifth office in Berlin. In September 2021, I delivered on an MBO, and we partnered with PE firm, NorthEdge to begin the next chapter of Meet’s journey. We re-energised our purpose; committing to playing our part in positively impacting global health. As CEO of a fast-growing business, retaining the unique, inclusive culture we’ve built has become increasingly important. I’m entirely committed to ensuring that Meet evolves and scales without ever diluting who we are at our core. After all, it’s the foundation of our success and something I never want to lose sight of. Looking toward the future, our mission is to continue the upward trajectory of reaching new places, markets, and customers, so we can create services and solutions that enable the incredible people and brilliant businesses within Life Sciences and its associated industries to innovate and thrive.
