Hannah Skinner

Hannah is a fourth-year student at the University of Georgia majoring in Political Science and International Affairs with a focus in National Security. During her time at UGA she has worked very closely with faculty and staff on various research endeavors (one of which was recently published in 2019) surrounding foreign policy issues as well as national security issues in relation to the United States. She has also conducted her own research on Democratic backsliding in the case of the United States as well as completed a faculty supervised, independent research project on women’s incarceration rates in Latin America. She has recently completed the Richard B. Russell Security Leadership Program that focuses on training students to be future leaders in both national and international security issues. She currently serves as an Ambassador for the School of Public and International Affairs, and recently completed an internship in the DC area for Noblis Inc. Under the Defense Threat Reduction Agency's Cooperative Threat Reduction contract.
