What is a real data, AI, ML driven company? How do you check for a genuine one? Ask a simple question, “if your data ingestion pipeline is broken, will you still get your pay cheque “? If the answer is a "BIG NO", then you have arrived. If the answer is a "small No", then you are talking to a company which is starting to see value in AL/ML but still is not there. If the answer is a "maybe", then you are talking to a company that thinks it's a data driven company, but its customers don't. If the answer is a "likely, maybe only a revenue hit" then it's a company that is experimenting with it. If the answer is a “No, but we know how to deal with that”, you are talking to a novice. If the answer is a "Yes", then you are talking to an honest company who does not masquerade as one. There is a big difference between adding AI ( and its family of words) in the company names or domain and burning the mid night oil, worrying how to validate the correctness of the DS algo output when assert_true() is not just not possible.
