Dedicated and experienced IT and Telecommunications Engineer with extensive knowledge of engineering principles, theories, specifications, and standards. Bringing leadership, drive, and over 6 years of experience to the table. I also write “clean” and flawless code to produce fully functional software applications (examples Sara for interswitch, scheme recon for KCB, E-boda for chitchat and Management information system for Afrimac_nut Sacco. Besides my 6+ years of experience with different programming languages I have extensive knowledge of modern frameworks and best practices in developing microservices.In terms of development my primary programming skills are related to Java language where I am following latest and future developments. Recently I have been mostly working with Spring Boot based microservices. My latest frontend experience is mostly related to Angular framework and Typescript. Proficiency in database technologies adds to my portfolio as well: my expertise expands to both relational databases and NoSQL. Last but not least I am familiar with Cloud based architecture including concepts like infrastructure-as-code and serverless computing.I believe that Agile methodology is the way software has to be created which goes hand in hand with microservice architecture and independent multidisciplinary teams. Devops way of working, strong delivery pipelines, automated testing and deployment is a very important part of todays development culture.I am interested in taking leadership in the team, filling the gaps and maintaining balance between code quality and project delivery. I am always willing to learn the business side of the system in order to select better tools and approaches to solve real life problems.I am also constantly looking for ways to improve the team efficiency. I am ready to mentor junior members and help them to improve their skills and achieve the best possible results. Many colleagues see me as a result driven specialist focused on quality in all aspects of delivery. I am convinced that learning on every day basis is a key to success in IT industry. That is why I am always happy to pick up new things coming up in my daily work, attend a meetup or a conference and complete another online course. Getting up to speed in a new programming language or a framework in half a month has never been an issue for me.
