I love building things. One of my happiest childhood memories is the time I spent with the Lego set my parents bought for me. Armed with nothing but my imagination and plenty of free time, I took a pile of featureless bricks and started building houses and cars…until I created an entire Lego town “Harperville”. This act of turning imagination and vision into something I can see and touch is truly my happy place. The passion for transforming ideas to reality brought me to Silicon Valley where there is an extraordinarily infectious culture of innovation that is exciting and magnetic. I have developed and managed various products in different industries from semiconductor to consumer electronics to enterprise software. I am able to marry the vision, optimism and engineering talent with experience by defining a product vision based on user needs, turning that vision into a prototype, and taking it through validation and mass production release. I like building relationships and collaborating with cross-functional teams, because collaboration helps support innovation. In addition to product management, I enjoy finding hidden gems as an angel investor. I have built a portfolio of over 40 investments and have been actively seeking more. My investments span a broad diversity of industries, including: biotechnology, consumer products & services, information technology & service, financial technology, healthcare & service, real estate & facilities, food & beverages, etc. As an investor, I focus on product-driven businesses that seek to make a positive social and environmental impact through the commercialization of disruptive new technologies. I like to help founders and investors, and connect the right people together at the right time. I mentor and assist fledgling startups to help them grow and scale. Both my experiences in product management and angel investing speak to my core drive ― to improve the lives of people and make our world a better place. I am so grateful for all of the opportunities I’ve had throughout my life and career. However, there are certainly many more problems waiting to be solved by technology innovation and I am happy to dedicate my life to that cause.
