As an experienced editor and brand director I've been responsible for overseeing the launch and development of pioneering new editorial and commercial projects, as well as their subsequent management and growth. As a freelance writer, I cover travel, food, design and culture, waxing lyrical for national and international titles on everything from culinary culture and the arts to design trends and the latest hotel openings, including for Telegraph Travel, Condé Nast Traveller, Wallpaper*, Food & Travel, Suitcase, The Week, Country Life, Town & Country, Design Anthology and Robb Report. I am the Managing Editor of Mix Interiors, the leading UK-based title for commercial interior design, overseeing both print and digital content, as well as shaping the wider editorial strategy and managing a nimble in-house eds team, and pool of contributors and collaborators. I host the annual Restaurant & Bar Design Awards and its associated talks programme; curate and host the seminar strand for Hi Design's global event series (Europe, MEA, Asia and the Americas); launched and formerly curated and hosted Design Talks at Top Drawer; curate talks for the Furniture Show and speak or chair panels at the likes of Clerkenwell Design Week and Decorex. I am an advisory board member of the Global Restaurant Investment Forum and sit on the Manchester Committee for the UK Jewish Film Festival. As a consultant I work with design, culture and hospitality-led organisations on brand development, content strategy and market insight, either from launch or helping established companies bridge the gap between the good and the great. Clients include the likes of Kerzner, Pure Escapes, Double Decker, Studio AfroditiKrassa, Studio Lost, Blacksheep, Especial, Bombay Tiimes and The Supermarket People. With a background in lifestyle journalism, I graduated with First Class Honours from London College of Fashion, rated the world’s most prestigious fashion school and a constituent college of University of the Arts London - rated second in the world for Art & Design and first in the UK for producing future leaders of business.
