Hassnain Malik, P.Eng, is an Electrical Engineer practicing as a Principal Substation Automation/SCADA Engineer with over fifteen (15) years of experience in an automation power systems consulting industry providing guidance in the areas of designing and implementation of transmission & distribution and the integration of fully automated SCADA systems for Power Substations. He has extensive experience executing projects ranging from 25kV to 500kV power substations in both green and brown fields. These projects include complete SCADA network design, substation technology upgrades and configurations just to name a few. He has experienced working with many different utilities and oil & gas industries in Canada and in USA. Substation commissioning and experience working with protocols such as IEC 61850, IEC 101/104/103, DNP3 and Modbus, are just few examples of his expertise. He is also experienced in preparing proposals and bid packages. As a project manager, he also manages utility projects including green and brown fields. He has great project management skills and has completed several projects both green and brown fields, always on time and within the allocated budgets. He manages and provides technical guidance to a team of SCADA engineers. He also assists multiple commissioning teams for SCADA related activities and assists them with troubleshooting, and provides them technical support as required. He is an effective team player, who is enthusiastic, has good interpersonal skills and leadership abilities. Mr. Malik is always eager to take up new challenges and meet them. He is fluent in English and also speaks few other languages.
