Haya Nassrullah

Haya Nassrullah is a PhD candidate in the chemical engineering department at New York University (NYU). She is a member of the Water Research Center (WRC) at NYU Abu Dhabi. She is currently working as a graduate research assistant on the development of electrically conductive membranes for enhanced water treatment. She received her MSc. In chemical engineering from Khalifa University and BSc. In chemical engineering and chemistry from the American University of Sharjah. During her Master's studies, Haya gained experience in fabricating and characterizing composite electrospun membranes that can be used for oily wastewater treatment via membrane distillation. Following her graduation, Haya joined NYUAD WRC as a research engineer, during which she worked on producing crystalline zeolite nanoparticles using ball milling.
