Explosive Industry Professional 15 years of experience in the commercial Explosive industry in various roles from bench hand to supervisor in mining and quarry operations. My Career started with Orica in 2004 and through my positive attitude, attention to detail and customer interaction I progressed quickly to gaining my shot firers ticket and within 2 yrs I was supervising and Leading teams in starting new contracts. In 2010 I moved to quarry industry with MAXAM to improve on the already vast knowledge and best practices that I had learnt from orica. While shotfiring in the quarries I was able to extend my shotfiring and technical service knowledge and gained experience in close proximity blasting. While I’m continuing to expand my knowledge of best practice in the blasting industry. I have completed my Graduate diploma of mine engineering. As the next phase of my career is to develop myself into a competent drill and blast engineer. I have now proven myself as a competent drill and blast engineer, not only was I able to achieve outstanding blast results, I was able to optimise the drill and blast process to increase production and lower cost across the platform. I have since moved into the short term truck shovel roll, Experience Electronics ( I-Kon , Axxis , Davey Bickford) Nonel and cord products Map tech Volcan ( blast logic) I have strong work ethics. I enjoy a challenge and gain great satisfaction from completing difficult project and tasks. I work autonomously; however, I thrive in a team environment with likeminded professionals. While being a team leader and Supervisor I included the team members in decision making and encourage them to offer other ideas or solutions to problems so they have ownership in the task. Being a creative thinker I can adapt quickly and have the ability to troubleshoot and problem solve, while aspiring to achieve company goals and targets.
