As a Teacher/Tutor for over 26 years, with numerous opportunities within the private & public sector to serve, each experience has enhanced my ability and capabilities to teach all ages, certified ASL, ESL, Special Needs & RBT certification. I love developing and implementing age-appropriate, engaging, STEM & STEAM-based lessons, with emphasis placed on scaffolding instruction. It is rewarding to create a newsletter, write an article, share positive thoughts, develop essays, writing curriculum with thematic activities, focal points and ensure that each academic lesson/course is being taught most effectively with importance specifically given to retention. I am a person who will go the extra mile to help my students succeed. Studying subject matter in-depth, organized & overall importance placed on ensuring that essential standards are met that keep students engaged notating all learning styles. By utilizing the Socratic method, I find this one of the best ways to teach core concepts. Having traveled from coast to coast as a family allowed me to teach my children at times, observe fascinating, extraordinary, and fun facts about many historical monuments, locations & essential people throughout history. Discussions on government styles, laws & even regulations from state to state allowed for much insight & take part in many educational programs. As a public/private classroom teacher, the lessons prepared were informative & engaging for every subject matter. I enjoy teaching children & adults to read, helping them with reading comprehension & other study skills that are essential for their educational journey. As a teacher, I choose various visual aids, textbooks & creative projects for student involvement. Technology has become increasingly important in education, so a goal to incorporate it is critical. I am well-versed & highly capable of teaching most computer concepts, academic courses & taking students on short educational trips, including those in SPED. *Prioritizing teaching methods & adding different facets to instruct & communicate the subject matter *Completing parent & student counseling *Enforcing rules & following protocol/disciplinary action *Lecture/discussion of concepts *Preparing material for presentations *Grading tests/essays/progress reports *Ensuring that subject matter taught is effective/well written & in sequential order *Able to teach over 189 subject areas, plan, execute & ensure its core matter to include all learning styles *Higher Education, Teaching, P-4-12, Collegiate Lecturing, Student Affairs & Curriculum Development.
