About

Graduate of Three Rivers Community College for Environmental Engineering. Currently enrolled at the University of Rhode Island for Ocean Engineering with a Minor in Environmental Engineering, on a path for Coastal Engineering/Resiliency. I have lived all my life by the ocean, fresh water ponds, rivers, and lakes. I have a passion for conservation, education, and an understanding of all types of aquatic systems. In my final semester at TRCC, I had my second Geomatics class which gave me the opportunity to work with the Town of Groton, preparing a map of the past remediated and currently awaiting remediation of Brownfields in the town. This really gave me a huge insight of how mapping really helps in research. In Carlson I was able to bring in a Town map outline of Groton, color code inland wetlands and coastal wetlands, label rivers, lakes, and coastal coves. I created different layers in the map to show the different steps of remediation of the different properties locating the Brownfields. Doing the map for the Town of Groton as my final project for Geomatics was very rewarding, as I reside in Groton, I'm able to give back to my community and help them be a Sustainable Connecticut Town. Thank you for taking the time to look at my LinkedIn. I look forward to working with you in the future!
