Heather Ricker

I have always been a creative person and, at first, I thought my outlet for that creativity was writing; therefore, I attended Carleton University, Majoring in English with a Minor in History. I quickly realized writing was not hands-on enough for me: I needed to create with my hands, not my mind. I left Carleton in my third year of an Honours program to attend Marvel Beauty Schools where I finally found the outlet for my creativity. I was offered positions at multiple salons, but I chose Mint Hair Studio as it was the position offering the most in education. As a new salon I was able to learn how a new business begins and watch it grow; and as an Environmentally Friendly Salon, I have been able to use many products that would not have been made available elsewhere. I have been in love with my career since the first day and I have not looked back!
