Heather Schmidt

I graduated from Regis University’s Accelerated Nursing Program in December 2014 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. I have not only received honors in this degree, but also in my other Bachelors of Arts Degree in Public Health, minoring in Psychology from Fort Lewis College. Toward the end of my nursing degree, I completed my medical-surgical III as well as my senior capstone rotation particularly focused on spine and neurology care. My experiences enabled me to develop a solid foundation in my assessments and critical thinking skills that prepare me well for the challenges of nursing. I am currently aligning my excellent Regis nursing education with Craig Hospital to deliver exceptional SCI/TBI patient care. I reflect back on the care I give everyday and am always eager for finding ways to better myself for the next patient. By combining my nursing, public health, and psychological background together with Regis’s faith based mission, I am confident to say that I am a well-rounded nurse who gives balanced holistic care.
